Born in 1980. He obtained his PhD in technical sciences in the discipline of computer science at the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science of the Silesian University of Technology in 2009, and his habilitation in technical sciences in the discipline of transport at the Faculty of Transport of the Warsaw University of Technology in 2019. He is currently a professor at the Department of Transport systems, Traffic Engineering and Logistics.
He specializes in the identification and description of road infrastructure condition and travel comfort, road traffic control systems, as well as processing and recognition of road space images. Since 2019, has been the vice dean of the Faculty of Transport and Aviation Engineering, and since 2020 the chairman of the Discipline Council for Civil Engineering, Geodesy, and Transport, a member of the Committee on Transport of the Polish Academy of Sciences, a member of the Senate of the Silesian University of Technology, and a member of the Social Council of the Faculty of Transport and Aviation Engineering.
He is the author or co-author of more than 170 scientific publications, among which the selected ones have been cited 243 times according to WoS, with an H-index of 11. He serves as a reviewer for scientific articles and is a member and reviewer of habilitation and doctoral committees, including the international committee for evaluating doctoral dissertations at the University of Deusto, Spain. He actively participates in national and international conferences and design seminars, having delivered a total of 68 presentations in countries including Lithuania, Hungary, England, Austria, Greece, the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Scotland, Turkey, and Italy.
